No on Proposition 23: Why Prop 23 is a bad idea for California
In this podcast we talk with Breathe California's government relations director Andy Katz about what’s at stake with Proposition 23. Largely funded by two Texas oil companies, Proposition 23 would suspend the implementation of the California Global Warming Solutions Act until California’s unemployment rate falls to 5.5% for three consecutive quarters.
The California Global Warming Solutions Act, or AB32, vigorously supported by Breathe California and a number of other public health organizations, passed in 2006 to reduce greenhouse emissions to 1990 levels by the year 2020.
